bella is a strong, independent woman, which is really frowned on by the older members of society. she is a lady, daughter of a baron, and should really already be married at her 'advanced age' of 28. she has a very rebellious nature and wishes to be free from the restricting confines of the life she was born into. bella is pretty opinionated and that rubs a lot of people the wrong way. she is, however, rather proper and courteous to almost everyone, even if they don't like her. she's well aware of all the gossip that goes around town about her and she embraces them all and ignores them. bella is a closet romantic and has that usual desire to be swept off her feet, but she's far too practical to wait around for that to happen. she is oddly charismatic and very witty, though she has often been pegged as mean or catty because her humor is mainly sarcastic. she is adventurous and desires freedom more than anything else. she lives with her father, baron arthur langley, in the town of port royal. she lost her mother some months after being born, her brother entered the navy and supposedly died at sea, and her father was way too lenient in raising her.
friends; bella isn't hard to make friends with, she just gets a little bossy and opinionated sometimes. she's actually really nice and, if you can ignore the nasty rumors about her going on in port royal, she's a fun person to be friends with. she's distrustful of most men, so i can say all her friends will be female, and most likely her age or younger. probably younger.
enemies; enemies aren't something bella really takes the time to keep, however, there are plenty of people out there that definitely won't like her. she pretty much embodies something that the older women will never be and something unattainable, and far too spirited, to most men. therefore, a lot of annoyed older people will not like her.
lovers; as far as this goes, she won't have had any in the past. she doesn't court and she usually doesn't care about it either. i don't really have anything in mind for her as far as lovers go, but if you really want her, you're welcome to try.
others; if anyone wanted to play her father, that'd be cool. also, if anyone wanted to pick up her older brother, drake, that'd be super as well. just pm me for details if you want.

I'm not ignoring this on purpose. <3<3 I'm just having trouble thinking of something for them to do that wouldn't be boring. I really have no idea how they'd get on but maybe she could see him around hears him telling his awesomesauce pirate stories and wants to have some of that freedom? She could try to convince him to let her come along or could just sneak on the ship or something. Obviously, it wouldn't have to be forever but it could be for a bit and she could jump off anytime she liked. Haha

aw, you are so sweet for plotting with meee~ i know, i'm sorry she's so hard to plot with since...she has little to no connection to anyone else on the board except like, potentially, liz xD ANYWAY! she would be incredibly intrigued by him and his stories, perhaps sneak around for the chance to sit and listen to him talk. he'd be sort of that...forbidden unknown, but also, as you said, that elusive freedom. especially after hearing of liz's exploits with him, she'd definitely want to see this notorious pirate for herself xD i think she'd definitely be equal parts eager to try and convince him to allow her to travel with him--at least for some time--and apprehensive about it, because it'd mean that she'd be, perhaps, branded as a cohort, yanno?
as for how they'd get along, i think relatively well, honestly. i mean...flirting isn't something she really does well, so that may make her feel awkward, possibly even a bit snippy, but if she spends enough time with him i clearly think she'd get used to it and just brush it off. but he'd be humorous to her, with his zest for life and everything, and she's got a decent sense of humor herself and can take most things in stride. depending on what you'd like to do, i'm not so sure if bella would really want to return to her hum-drum little life of being unmarried and being the subject of gossip. whether she convinces him to allow her to go with them--maybe with the promise of a hefty ransom whenever he 'decided' to bring her back?--or whether she sneaks on, we can go into further detail on, whichever you think would be more amusing to play out. but like i said, i don't think she'd be so willing to go back to her boring ass life (despite the fact she likes living relatively fancy and...yanno, hygiene), and i think getting her to do so would be a hard task xD

That all sounds really good.  Does she live in Port Royal? I only ask because I'm running him on a liquid timeline (I'll have to post it up sometime so people know what's going on. lol). Anyway, yeah if you wanted to start a thread for them I would love you forever. Either way you want to go is fine with me so it can either be her overhearing him at a bar or seeking him out somewhere to talk to him or sneaking on the ship and him not finding her until they'd left port, whichever.

lovee youuuu <3333 igetsoexcitedwheniplot >> she does indeed live in port royal :3 i work on liquid timelines myself so, i understand that urge to write up wtf is going on with your character lol! but anyway, i can indeed start a thread (make take me a little bit, since i'm trying to get caught up with some other nonsense and...stress eats my face at home) annnnd hum. idk which would be the more bella thing to do. obvs i should clearly ask--jack as the pearl? yay or nay? info lauz totally needs to know <3 and uh...what else...i think perhaps her sneaking around after him would be most her style...cause her going into a bar would just...exacerbate all the issues she has in society and she totally doesn't wanna make them worse xD but rofl, the thought of her just sneaking onto the ship and lounging out in a chair in jack's cabin until he shows up would be funny as all hell to me xD all 'well hey there! we've already set sail? oh...too bad. suppose i have to come with you now.' rofl my brain is so dumb.

I should have checked this before you posted so I could be helpful. >.> But yes, Jack is clinging to his baby for dear life. Basically kicking Barbossa off the ship any time he wants to leave and having Gibbs in charge to make sure it stays where he left it. lol

Maybe Bella and Gwen could have a run in? Gwen's currently loitering around Port Royal trying to get her ship fixed, so maybe they can bump into each other literally and have some kind of mini show-down? Let me know if you think of any better ideas! |
