PERSONALITY
Theo is a very simple man. Not to say that he’s dull-witted in any way, but he doesn’t need much to be happy. He is living his passion in the Navy, getting revenge on the pirates who killed his parents. This career choice also allows him to be at sea and with his secret lover so he’s generally a happy camper. He enjoys being at sea more than anything as it reminds him of his parents, but he also likes to draw and spends part of his free time sketching maps and landscapes that he glimpses from the ship.
He is very even-tempered and has been known as ‘calm, cool, and collected’ his entire life. Usually the only time he will get embarrassed is if he thinks someone suspects his sexual preference, and it is very hard to ruffle his feathers. He does get angry, of course, but he’s never been one to wear his heart on his sleeve. Like a good soldier, he keeps his feelings out of his work and does not let them interfere with his orders.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE;
There isn’t much special about Theo’s appearance and it wouldn’t be much of a stretch to call him the most average man in the world. He stands at a normal height and weight with common brown hair and watery blue eyes. His hair reaches to his shoulders normally, but many never get a chance to see it since he is almost always in uniform and therefore wearing the standard white powdered wig. He has several scars from fights and training, but nothing that would really set him apart from any other soldier. While he would much prefer to let his facial hair grow, and sometimes does get a bit of stubble as his own personal little rebellion, he is usually fairly clean-shaven. When he isn’t in his naval uniform, Theo can be found with his hair loose and in any comfortable clothing he can find. He tends to gravitate toward neutral colors since he’s usually around bright, primary colored fabrics.

BACKGROUND;
Theo had a fairly normal childhood. He was born and raised in a simple little country home in England, outside Felixstowe in Suffolk Coastal. Being so close to a port town gave him a healthy love of the sea at a young age; he and his mother and father would take frequent trips to the beach and he remembers them as the happiest times of his life to this day. His entire life was quiet and uneventful until his thirteenth year. The day started out like any other and their family packed up a picnic to take to the beach, but when they reached their normal spot they found the sandy shore overrun by pirates pillaging and killing the townspeople. His father rushed in to help, but was killed and shortly after his mother was taken and killed trying to protect Theo who only managed to survive by outrunning the pirates.
Since that day, Theo has held a special hatred for anyone who aligns themselves with the pirate lifestyle and immediately took action to join the Royal Navy. He worked his way through the ranks to eventually become Admiral Norrington’s second-in-command, following him from ship to ship with each promotion. Their close professional relationship led to a more personal companionship and they made sure they were together on every assignment, quoting their prior work history and successes. He remained loyal even after Norrington’s supposed death, taking his own time to mourn in private even though he had to give a strong face to the public. When it was discovered that James was alive, Theo was the first by his side to welcome him back and has since stayed closer than ever for fear of losing him again.
