PERSONALITY
if there's one thing to be said, it would have to be that belladonna langley does things for herself. she absolutely hates when people offer to help and despite this deep seated loathing she has for these offers, she'll always turn them down as politely as she can. though this 'polite' i speak of is usually with some kind of catty look and agitated tone of voice. on the flip side, usually she'll do things for other people without much thought and will mostly enjoy doing so. being independent, she also loves to lead and, yes she will sometimes boss people around. she never means to, but because she normally wants things done her way, she is quick to correct people. that being said, her friends are usually very tolerant of her somewhat strong personality. other people, however, blame her 'sour disposition' on the way she was raised--without a mother--and the fact her father is relatively lenient with her. despite what some of the older society members say about her, bella remains a very courteous and charismatic individual; especially with the younger crowd. on the matter of her manners, she is sometimes considered to be a very sweet person, maybe even the sweetest on the planet, which is far from true. she is kind, she is sweet (though it all depends on who you are), and she's typically seen as a nice girl. but really, she's more courteous than anything else. she holds first impressions in high regard and she's very formal with people. she is pretty considerate of others and goes through with all the commonplace pleasantries that are associated with being 'proper'.
perhaps contrasting this sweet and courteous attitude of hers, belladonna is noted for being entirely too opinionated. she's been considered 'wicked' on many occasions because she will give you her opinion, despite the fact it may not be wanted. if you like to argue, then bella may be the perfect girl for you. sometimes she thinks her opinion may be the only one that truly matters, but she will only argue on matters that she's passionate about. there are times when she will completely disregard your opinion in favor of her own, so yes, she can be somewhat inconsiderate in that department. as well, getting bella to budge on anything she has a firm belief in is virtually impossible. if she thinks something is worth doing, or right, then she's going to make sure it gets done; even behind other's backs. not that she believes she's always right, because she has her flaws and she knows them, but when she does know she's right, then you can be sure the subject won't be dropped until you admit you were wrong. other than that, she doesn't often take 'no' for an answer when she wants something strongly enough. if she wants it, she will get it. it's all of these things that make bella something of a hard woman to deal with and definitely not your ideal marriage partner. however, she doesn't disregard love. she's actually a 'closet romantic', and she, like all women, have certain ideals when it comes to love. she has never been in love, fancied a few, but never felt in love. she believes that she is still young, regardless of what society thinks, and is actually somewhat naive when it comes to men. like most, she'd enjoy being swept off her feet some day, but she's too practical to wait around and just hope for it to happen. not to mention, she has something of a distrust for most men which is most purely based on the fact she sees most men as domineering. she has a good grasp on emotions and the feelings of those around her. she may not be the best person to get advice from, but she is a very good listener and somewhat motherly.
if you can brave the rumors about her and actually approach bella, you'll notice that she's actually oddly charismatic. the younger women in port royal think she's some strong woman, someone that isn't going to let anyone tell her what to do, and this is true. she attracts people without realizing she's doing it, without meaning to, but she's always friendly. bella enjoys company, but she also enjoys being left to her own devices. she reads a lot and also--almost quite unheard of--does her own gardening. she has an entire garden of roses that are just her own. along with her being a charming person, she's also rather witty. bella has an uncanny knack for inserting her own brand of intellectual comedy into any situation. she's a very smart one and oftentimes her jokes are ingenuous and exceedingly clever. though she does have her moments, she is rarely mean when she jokes around. however, her sarcasm has often gotten her pegged as very catty. she's not always proud of it, but belladonna can be considerably sneaky. she has been prone to sneaking out of her house and trying to explore all the things port royal has to offer. she feels like she can handle herself, but truthfully, she wouldn't be able to if someone really wanted to harm her. she has a lot of pride and a large sense of freedom. as of right now she is neutral to almost everything going on around her--and very rarely tries to figure politics out--but she can easily understand why pirates do what they do--for the freedom. she wouldn't necessarily be a pirate herself, but she desires the freedom to do what she wants without being scrutinized by a town full of people.
there is no black and white to anyone on this planet and bella is no different, but there is a very dark portion of herself that she keeps hidden. she can be somewhat pessimistic about things and she is oftentimes far too rebellious. she has a whole grey area about her and, when alone, she tends to brood and harp on things. things that she should have said but didn't, should have done, but avoided. she is a purely 'act on impulse' woman for the most part, so she will oftentimes regret things she's done. she will never, however, plague people with her problems or with anything that's going on in her head, as she feels they are her burdens alone to bear, so she can often seem emotionally closed.
PHYSICAL APPEARANCE;
let's start right at the top, shall we? overall, bella has a somewhat tall, slender figure...though not entirely the most curvaceous out there. honestly, in that standard, she's rather plain. sometimes thought to be too slender, corsets don't really help much, though it's obvious they create a bosom where there is little. she has slim shoulders and very little muscle mass because, lets face it, how much exercise does a lady actually get? even her hips, which should be 'child-bearing' by this point, are somewhat slender; but how much of them are you going to see under a dress and bustle? either way, she is the standard for a 'normal' woman. her skin is moisturized every day with whatever she can get and remains mostly smooth--save for those almost undesirable birthmarks. her skin is usually tanned due to her life in the tropics. she keeps herself in tip-top physical appearance, mostly for her own benefit, as she likes to look her best.
her facial structure is somewhat rounded and 'babyish' as some might describe it, a better term might be 'soft'. she lacks sharp angles and its her face that keeps her looking younger than she actually is. her green eyes are the usual almond shape, perhaps a little wider and rounder, but generally nothing that stands out and makes her too different. being rather rebellious, bella is often seen with her blonde hair down, rather than swooped up and pushed under her hat. this, of course, has gotten her some flack and let the rumors fly about her sexual habits. she's forced to be conservative with her clothing, using muted colors, and never red--due to it's social stigma.

WHAT'S YOUR STORY, SAILOR
FAMILY;
arthur langley ; father ; baron
mary langley ; mother ; deceased
drake langley ; brother ; unknown
BACKGROUND;
mary met arthur langley in london england on a rather frightfully stormy day. then again...what else is new about london? anyway, the young lord assisted mary after seeing her from the street, unable to batten down one of the windows at the local convent. love at first sight struck him hard, and yet, this woman was destined to become a nun. mary was not so swayed by the young lord's charms, but there was something about this young man she simply couldn't let go. they met several times after that with arthur so boldly asking her to walk through the local park with him, unchaperoned. being the rather rebellious spirit that she was, mary was more than happy to see just how far arthur's attraction to her went. after refusing to take the initiation into the nun-hood, mary made the decision to continue her courtship with arthur. much to the pleasure of her parents--who were not as high up on the social ladder as arthur's family--the two were engaged to be married a year later. once married, mary became a baroness-to-be. she became pregnant with drake some months after they were married and gave birth to the baby boy with no complications. the new family was more than thrilled to welcome this little bundle of joy into their lives.
two years later, arthur's parents died and, at the age of twenty-eight, he became a baron. not really a very high-up position, though higher than lord or lady, arthur integrated into this new society of politics and money. after some discussion he decided it was best to raise their young son somewhere less...rainy all the time. taking the somewhat long ride at sea, they settled in port royal. finding that everything was just a bit freer here, arthur was pleased with his decision. when their son was four, mary became pregnant again and, this time, gave birth to a little girl. complications during this birth left mary very ill and, months later, she died. belladonna never really knew her mother, and grew up with very little female input--aside from the nanny that was hired to take care of her. she grew up somewhat distant from her father and her brother, who later joined the navy. when she was thirteen her brother disappeared, supposedly dead at sea, though bella always had this fantastical image of him becoming a pirate. pirate stories never really fascinated her, though the thought of freedom always has. when she turned twenty, her nanny was no longer needed, and her father took the responsibility of making sure she became an upstanding woman of society. however, she was less than thrilled with the idea of being married off and, because her father was something of a pushover, she never was. years went by and her penchant for disobeying her father and doing things that a young lady shouldn't be doing--traipsing around the docks to watch the sunset and the ships rolling in without an escort--has gained her something of a reputation around port royal.
by the time she turned twenty-seven it was the talk of the town--she wasn't married. bella doesn't really have any desire to be married and, honestly, wouldn't know what a wife was supposed to act like. besides, she finds herself far too independent for that anyway. as of now, she's merely living on port royal as a lady, wishing for some kind of freedom she can never have.

took this from my site...that's cool, yeah? >>
to most people 'responsible adult' wasn't really the proper term used to describe felix. he wasn't concerned with people and what they did and, in fact, the only people he cared about were his closest friends and his family. he just didn't have the air of a man that was going to give two shits about what went on around him. and don't even mention children around him, because felix pretty much hated them. most people qualified as a child to him, considering the fact he was so old, but infants and the elementary school aged children were the worst to him. he just never seemed to understand kids and he rarely had the patience for them. then again he probably should have been swimming in patience considering the fact he dealt with ragnar all the time and his companion could be equated to a five year-old more often than not. maybe it was just because he knew that ragnar knew better than an inexperienced child that he was able to take more from him than a child. regardless of how alike they were. felix snorted and stretched as he thought about the similarities between his lover and a five year-old. though maybe that was inconsiderate to the five year-old he was currently baby-sitting, as she never once pulled a tantrum on him or went about to whining at him because he wasn't doing something for her. in fact, little trinity payne was the most well-behaved toddler he'd ever come into contact with.
her father, on the other hand, was not so well-behaved. someone in little trinity's life had to be a good influence, however, because she was turning out to be a fantastic little girl. so far today seth had dropped trinity off at felix's place relatively early in the morning, much to ragnar's chagrin. the other valkyrie went back to sleep while felix sat with trinity in their living room, setting up the big screen television to play the natgeo channel all day until they were ready to go to the carnival. felix didn't judge when seth wanted to do something and he spent so much time with trinity that it was alright for him to go out once in a while. seth and felix were not close, not exactly, but seth did work as his secretary when he needed it and felix could feel all the mixed up emotions that the boy always had concerning his entire life, so he felt bad for him. the kid was twenty-three and raising a six year-old daughter by himself and had been mature enough to not give the girl up for adoption. felix wasn't sure he would have been able to handle a kid as easily as seth seemed to. so perhaps the valkyrie just wanted to give the vampire a break. either way, trinity was happy to watch national geographic--some program about south american insects that had disgusted felix in two minutes flat--and cuddle with both erik and chronos, and asgard when she decided to stop making breakfast long enough to rub all over the girl. apparently her motherly instincts were far more advanced than felix had realized.
at around noon ragnar had disappeared, presumably to hang out with his own friends, which felix was going to ignore for the time being. trinity was happily munching on a sandwich that felix had given her--because peanut butter and jelly was the best thing ever when 'uncle kitty' made it--while the valkyrie took the time and effort needed to change from his flannel lounge pants and white tank top in order to get into suitable clothes for going to the carnival. which just really turned out to be a pair of worn jeans and a t-shirt anyway, but that was far more dressed down than most people saw felix anyway. running a hand through his hair, he grabbed his wallet, tucked it into his back pocket, and snatched his keys off the hook by the door. shuffling the little blonde girl out the door, they hopped into the convertible and drove off to the fairgrounds. trinity was fairly calm until they got closer, wherein she started a bit of excited chatter. chronos snickered at her and was the one to unbuckle the girl from her car-seat when they parked. felix straightened the hem of his shirt and adjusted the sunglasses on his face before turning to his feline shadow and the little girl that was almost jittering with excitement. felix chuckled and held out his hand to her only to have her hold up both her arms to him. taking a deep breath and rolling his dark eyes under his sunglasses, the valkyrie bent and scooped up the halfling in his arms. just imagine the looks felix got as he carried seth's little girl in his arms, flashing his id card to the security at the ticket booth--thus getting himself shit for free, because fuck that, he was already paying for this shit--traipsing onto the fairgrounds in civilian clothes. he was as close to royalty on this island as anyone was going to get without actually being royalty. notorious, infamous, that was him. and trinity, well, any of seth's friends would know her.
as he promised seth, he stopped by the kissing booth to let trinity give her dad a kiss...which she did happily and once the vampire told her to have fun with 'uncle kitty', she darted off to grab felix's hand and tug him away. said valkyrie couldn't help but smile thoughtfully, wondering if ronny would have been like this when she was little. guilt ate away at him when he thought about how victoria had to raise her alone, how he hadn't been there to support them, and then jealousy reared it's ugly head when he thought about the prospect of someone else being there for victoria and ronny, to replace the father figure he failed at being. squaring his jaw, felix shook his head and almost tripped over himself when trinity squealed and pointed at a stuffed dragon hanging from a hook above one of the games. felix eyed it and laughed, nodding at the little girl while tugging a ticket off the roll and tossing it towards the patron of the booth. lifting trinity up onto counter, he protectively held her about the waist and refused the balls he was being offered in order to knock down the stacked bottles. hey, if he were gonna do this, he was gonna do it right. the patron of the booth raised an eyebrow and felix tossed him a couple bucks to shut up. leaning into trinity, he spoke directly to the little girl clad in pink, "wanna see something cool?"
the question was answered with a vigorous nod of the child's head, and he leant past her, making sure she could see what he was doing. closing one eye behind his dark shades, felix pointed his fingers like a gun towards the glass bottles all stacked up so neatly. making sure he was well grounded, the valkyrie released his hold on trinity, gently clutching at the back of her shirt instead, very carefully assuring that he wasn't touching her skin. setting his aim, felix pretended like he was shooting a gun, pulling the trigger and slamming the hammer down, even recoiling. the result was a bolt of electricity that coursed through his body in a thrumming vibration he could feel in his teeth and exited towards the bottles he aimed for. grinding his teeth a little, felix pulled back as the bottles cracked and shattered down, dropping backwards as the electric bolt zipped through them almost audibly. trinity was beyond pleased and started rambling about how her daddy controlled shadows and that was awesome and blah blah. felix only chuckled and pulled her off the counter, settling her back on the ground. the guy behind the booth gave him a look and tugged the stuffed dragon down, handing it to felix who presented it to trinity.
from there they went to the carousel, where felix finally got a few moments to himself. having chronos take the girl, the valkyrie fished about his pocket, pulling out a pack of cigarettes he swore he wasn't going to deal with today. biting his lip in his usual contemplative manner, the valkyrie snapped his fingers and lit a cigarette up, waiting a moment before settling it between his lips. he followed it up with a content sound before turning back to face the carousel and the little girl who was waving at him. smiling, he waved back and rest leant against the barrier fence, blowing out a gentle trail of smoke. ragnar would clearly not approve of him smoking and in fact he'd suggested many other things to stifle felix's nerves, but none of those were viable now. though, he thought idly, that in the position he was in it would have been the perfect excuse for ragnar to grope his ass. then again, the other male didn't really need a reason to do this. straightening back up, he flicked the ash from his cigarette and glanced down at the cell phone on his belt, almost hoping that said man would text him; though if he was out with friends, felix knew that he was going to be the farthest thing from the valkyrie's mind. squaring his jaw again, felix rocked back on his heels, one hand in his pocket, the other gently gripping the fence. not the proper time for jealousy, felix.

PIRATES OR NINJAS; what a dumb question D< pirates xD
