mermaid, compassionate , gentle , vulnerable , guarded , clever
syrena -- a mermaid who defies the myths and legends made by man, that have been branded onto her kind so easily. though possessing the power to be brutal and vicious like her sisters, she has never been labeled the typical mermaid from day one. more then likely, she was one of the first - if not the first - one to blatantly refuse to murder. a kind, gentle heart, who has been observing mankind for quite some time now in genuine and untainted fascination. though she has a human form, and can walk on two legs - god willing - she rarely visits land on her own feet. in the instances that it did happen, it was a whirlwind; and she knows she isn't ready for the hypnotizing madness just yet. syrena speaks very well, and sings, too; not unlike the rest of her kind. however, she does not use her talents to lure sailors in for the kill. she would prefer to take someone who is already on the verge of death, or, someone who has already passed into the other world. killing, in the few instances she was forced two, brought her no joy; only sorrow, and guilt. she isn't very social, especially with other mermaids; but i imagine she would have a few whom she can tolerate, or even be mildly friends with. it's unlikely she would have many connections on land, however. enemies would be anyone who hunts mermaids, naturally. and, lovers? currently, she has no intentions of being with anyone - there aren't really mermen, to be honest - and affiliates with humans can be suicidal. however, she will, at some point, become infatuated with one philip swift, and they will likely be finals. but, yeah. i'm open to ideas! c'mon, you know you wanna plot this lovely creature up! ♥template created by kate of atf.
